What is a Kitchen Update?

A Kitchen update is our high quality budget-friendly alternative to a full kitchen remodel. Homeowners can choose premium materials for counters, lighting, backsplashes, and hardware while keeping their existing kitchen layout. Cabinets can be refinished or painted. Upgrades like undercabinet lighting, new cabinet fronts, and new appliances can be included. A kitchen upgrade typically costs 50-75% less than a full kitchen remodel, and takes around 4-6 weeks (vs 6-9 months for a full kitchen remodel).

Are your kitchen updates the same as the “Kitchen Refreshes” I’ve seen advertised?

No, our kitchen updates are not the same as 3-5 day “kitchen refreshes” advertised by large national companies with franchises all over the US. These projects focus on speed, and do not use local crews or suppliers. While this is perfectly fine for homeowners who find this approach appealing, this is very different than our budget-friendly kitchen updates. Blue Willow focuses on quality craftsmanship and uses the same trusted local crew of tradespeople for all of our projects. We use local suppliers and installers in order support the twin cities building community. Every project is tailored to the needs and personal style of the homeowner. We enjoy making every project unique and never use a “cookie cutter” approach.
